Paradoxically, doing a full 180 and embracing an extremely gentle, totally natural skin care and beauty routine (along with a nutrient-dense diet, of course!) Helped me achieve my dreams’ skin.
Nowadays, my skincare regimen is also geared towards anti-aging.
(Just hit a landmark birthday: 30!)
And since I geek out on beauty and natural skincare more it seemed only appropriate to eventually put a post about beauty regimen and my natural skincare.
My routine is quite simple and that I expect will be inspire one try something new or to go natural!

But as demand for safer products and the natural beauty market has grown, we all know have a ton of safe, natural, high-performing alternatives to choose from.
So no, you do not have to sacrifice beauty!
And lots of natural, non-toxic skin care ingredients like vitamin C, Vitamin E, CoQ10, charcoal, and niacinamide are so powerful that they have even reverted into mainstream beauty lines. And skin care techniques like exfoliation help prevent defects and boost collagen production — if you are utilizing a natural exfoliant or nasty-filled exfoliant! So select the edition, I say!
OK so let’s get to it!
My Super-Simple All-Natural Skincare And Beauty RoutineNatural Skincare
I wash my head once a day, every evening. Yes, only once every day! Your face can easily throw away from microbiome and the pH of your skin, both of which are crucial for keeping skin clear and healthy.
I alternate between Beautycounter’s Charcoal Cleansing bar, which is great for purifying pores, and InstaNatural’s Glycolic Acid Facial Cleanser so as not to over-exfoliate my skin. That having been said acid is a superb exfoliant that helps to keep flaws and signs of aging away. Win win!
Exfoliation is an absolute MUST. Therefore, if you are not doing it yet, you have to begin my friend, ASAP. Because it can help to keep pores clean and stimulates collagen production. Additionally, it helps makeup go on a lot more smoothly and improves skin texture.
Nevertheless, in regards to exfoliation, it is so important not to overdo it! Those with oily skin should exfoliate 1-2 times a week a week while people with skin should exfoliate no more than once. And because I do use an exfoliating face wash I exfoliate just once a week.
I like and recommend chemical exfoliants (acids and enzymes) over granular exfoliants (scrubs). Currently enjoying: Andalou Naturals Pumpkin Honey Glycolic Mask and my own Body Unburdened Pink Perfect & Protect Customizable Mud Mask blended with yogurt (which contains exfoliating lactic acid)!
I’ve recently become obsessed with the hydrosols of Mountain Rose Herb! They provide skin with the advantages of these extracts that are pure and smell amazing. I’ve honestly tried nearly all them (embarrassing to admit!)
Vitamin C does it all. As a powerful antioxidant it helps lighten dark spots, increases the production of collagen, and helps to reduce blemishes by preventing sebum oxidation.
I’ve tried a great deal of vitamin C serums that were different and also my favorite is definitely Mad Hippie’s vitamin C Serum. Rather than l-ascorbic acid (which could be very annoying and oxidizes easily), it comprises sodium ascorbyl phosphate, which is quite gentle, much more secure, and research have found to be beneficial for combating breakouts and acne. It also contains a bunch of additional skin-loving goodies such as hydrating hyaluronic acid, antioxidant ferulic acid, and konjac root (which can help fade hyperpigmentation). So much to appreciate!
It’s all about the oils, infant. Whenever anyone compliments my skin (it still blows my mind when that happens!) , I immediately blurt out « FACE OIL! » And get started gushing about it the way a kid gushes about a day at the beach/their favorite exciting — you know and with an excitement.
I’ve tried dozens of different face oils the different fatty acid compositions and the impact that has on different skin types fascinated me. And Itaken of obsessing research this years and bottled up my best blends for you too — Body Unburdened Beauty Blends!
At night after cleansing, exfoliating, and toning, I really generously apply Beauty Blend No.1. While I used to apply oils both night and day, I often use a pure CC cream during the day (see below) for some SPF coverage and sheer color.
Oh goodness, do I really like a face mask. Twice a week, I apply a mask about — a exfoliating mask just like mentioned above once each week and possibly a clay-based or hydrating mask based on the needs of my skin.
If my skin is dry/irritated, I will just slather on some organic honey — honey is a natural humectant that draws and holds water.
Though, I mix one of my Body Unburdened Customizable Mud Masks and the honey for the plus of clays that are pore-perfecting, hydrating potent fruit and aloe, and marshmallow and herbal extracts! (Yes, I had a great deal of fun inventing and analyzing these!)
The cult DIY All-Natural Blackhead Busting Blackout Mask is also still sometimes on turning
While I see something beginning to rear its ugly head, I stand strong and scream »GO AWAY, MONSTER! » Just kidding; that’s exactly what I tell my niece to do if we encounter »creatures » while playing. I dab a little lavender essential oil on the blemish as a spot treatment before employing my face oil. Chamomile could be applied to the skin neat although Many EOs need to be diluted.
DAILY SPF + COLOR
Juice Beauty’s formulation is a bit thicker, so that I use it when I want some protection. They are both fantastic, have a 1 Skin deep rating, and SPF coverage that is good.
On days once I need to stop shine or a little extra coverage, I apply 100% Pure’s Fruit Pigmented Powder Foundation at the top.
I use 100% Pure’s Extended Concealer under my eyes using Super Fruits. Thanks to genetics, I have pretty awful circles when I grin AND eyes that scrunch up way. So a great deal of concealers look and accentuate my own expression lines around my eyes not a look that is fantastic. This is!
Pure’s Black Tea Mascara. Hands down. The best. Enough said.
I am obsessed with creamy eye shadows that give just a small bit of color and shine without making me look like a 13 year old from 1998 (in other words, really glittery) — they somehow create my whole face seem brighter and all glowy. Small miracle workers!
My favorites: RMS Beauty Eye Polish (in just about every color!) And 100% Pure’s Satin Eye Shadow at Star, I use to the corners of my eyes to brighten them up.
Beautycounter’s Satin Powder Blush is my current favorite. I prefer a powder blush over cream since it is simpler to use if employing over face oils or a CC lotion, and I’m clearly all about ease in regards to beauty!
Ahh I love a lip! Even when I am a entire mess, it makes me feel pulled together and lady-like.

My morning beauty routine just takes approximately 2-3 minutes with all the aforementioned products and THAT is a gorgeous thing. I spend more time looking at the fridge.
And like I mentioned, it is ironic that embracing an extremely easy, natural skincare routine was able to totally change my complexion — I used to believe that I actually needed all of those harsh chemicals in the products I had been using, and the more the merrier. Now I know better (hell, I even only wash my face once per day!) And my tears are spent on much more significant things, such as the film Up (seriously, I’d no idea it would be such a tear-jerker!!) .
